After leveling off, two pilots (TWA & Delta) radioed the Long Beach, California, tower that a guy in a lawn chair had just smiled and waved to them at 16,000 feet. By Amazon Customer My whole family enjoy this book and the other 2 books that are part of this series.The historical information is fascinating and is told by a wonderful storyteller.My family look forward to every evening reading the story for the day and having a vigorous conversation about the story afterwards. We have learned and shared so many facts from the book we will continue to read them all. Having fun reading the true Dust Bin stories in Denver!!

I am a history enthusiast & found the stories in this book fascinating. I love all the little facts & tidbits that I gleaned from reading the stories. It was very well written & easy to read. I was meaning to read a story a day, but got sucked into reading about 1/4 the book each time I sat down!
