How far would you have walked to gain your high school education? From an early age, the greatest passion in Boitumelo Tumelo's life is learning. Boi, as she is known to her friends and family, just loves going to school. Her primary school is in the local village, but when she graduates to secondary school, two obstacles stand in the path to her further education. Firstly, there are fees to be paid. Secondly, it is eleven miles to the nearest secondary school. She would have to get up very early, and walk that long distance to school every day, and walk home after school. There are many potential dangers along the remote African track between her village and her school. This is the inspiring story of how Boi overcomes the obstacles and dangers to gain the education that she so desires. Not only does she achieve her ambitions, but she manages to make life better for the children of her village who wish to follow in her footsteps.

Robinson A powerful and affecting story, which shows how adversity can, in the right circumstances, sharpen up the resolve to succeed. Through this account of the teenage years of Boi, a gifted young girl from Botswana, Greenfield provides us with a strong contrast to the "entitled" mind-set that comfortable Western culture can sometimes engender."Eleven Miles" shows us how one girl builds on her gifts and meets the challenges of adversity to achieve her dreams of academic and sporting excellence, The adversities she must face include having to find enough money for school fees from the earnings of numerous family members; the lack of transport for the 11 mile journey to school, meaning her only option is to go on foot; added to the necessity of having to collect water and firewood on top of this every day when she gets home from school; and all this in the context of not having enough to eat (a hunk of bread for breakfast, and the same again for lunch). In addition to these, Boi must face cruelty, injustice and tragedy, before she wins through to her prize. The inspirational quality of the story in itself deserves 5 stars but I was only able to give 4 stars because the writing is marred by technical flaws. Firstly it does not have the structure of a novel and there is very little plot; there is a lot of "telling" instead of "showing"; key emotional events and turning points are summarised instead of being shown as a scene.Because of these flaws I never felt I was inside Boi or shared her thoughts and feelings or understood where she had gained her phenomenal determination and focus. She clearly has a gift which can never be explained but I wished I could have had a much deeper insight into the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of her character; this would helped me feel her eventual triumph more intensely.Despite this, the strength of the story itself shines through, and I find myself haunted by it, and the message of the book stays with me.

An uplifting story and compelling read By Diana Greenfield There's a compelling simplicity to Boitemelo Hope Tumelo's story which steers you through the pages with ease. Gently written, the prose is limited, but with evocative landscape of her remote African village and the trek to her distant secondary school.Boi's foresight and ambitious determination are extraordinary and belie her young years, reflecting her family's sacrifice, faith and commitment to the value of education. Boi is almost too good to be true. But then Boi lives in rural Botswana with an eleven mile commute on foot to the nearest school, where absolute commitment is a given and not an assumed, unappreciated right of passage.Boi's "naughty" brother Thapelo, reminds us of an recognisable ordinary teenager with whom we're probably more familiar and adds some everyday realism to this story. Boi's quest to achieve her education and sporting goals are stirring in a world where cynicism abides, and in this sense this novel is uplifting. The motto of Boi's school "there is no prejudice" contains a heartfelt message for us all in an increasingly secular-fearing society, Botswana or everywhere. There are elements of Greenfield's first novel which would benefit from further editing. The first chapter is distractingly plentiful in pluperfect tense but this is modifiable. Boi's relationship with Kethwaahetse builds and is convincing but then this character is lost in the story with Boi's achievements and the reader is left wondering of the significance of this liaison. The final chapter, Boi's inspirational lecture to pupils at her old secondary school in the wake of her successes, smacks more of a Holywood film script and is a tad self-indulgent. In my view, this would have been better left to the imagination of the reader.Greenfield's debut novel is an agreeable and uplifting read, reminiscent of Alexander McCall-Smith's "No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" in terms of its atmospheric African patter. An enjoyable debut novel by Lance Greenfield and I await his next with anticipation.

In the tradition of NBC’s THE BLACKLIST and BLINDSPOT, Space Buggy Press is proud to present AMERICAN HERCULES, a modern reimagining of the strongman’s classic Labors! THE LION OF NEMEA is part one in a six-part serialized storyline. Six years ago, decorated war hero Nathan Hercules awoke to find blood on his body, a knife in his hands, and his wife and children dead at his feet. He had no memory of committing this crime, but when the cops and lawyers came for him, he willingly signed the rest of his life away in order to save anyone else from being killed by his hands. In the time between then and now, Nathan has come to grips with his role in what had happened, and he’s become convinced that while he held the knife, someone else bears responsibility for what happened, too. What he needs is a way out. Enter Landon Eurystheus, the lawyer who put him away and currently a CIA Special Director, with an offer to help Nathan track down the truth. All Eurystheus wants in return is Nathan’s help in finding the one man in the world Nathan cares least about: Washington Zeus, the world’s richest missing person and Hercules’ biological father. Hercules agrees and joins Labor Division. Alongside disgraced FBI Agent Catherine Meda, field agent Ernest Echion, and computer expert Phocus Reilly, Hercules’ first labor sends him to west Texas to face the Lion of Nemea, a cult leader with a penchant for kidnapping and brainwashing women. The identity of the Lion of Nemea will force Hercules to confront his past as a member of the United States Special Forces, and the deal he made with a devil in the Afghan desert. AMERICAN HERCULES: THE LION OF NEMEA is part 1 of a 6 part series with the following release schedule: Season 1: The Hunt for Zeus Episode: Available #1: The Lion of Nemea: Now #2: The Hydra of Lerna: November 20, 2015 #3: The Hind of Keryn: December 5, 2015 #4: The Boar of Acadia: December 20, 2016 #5: The Stables of Augea: January 5, 2016 #6: The Birds of Stymph: January 20, 2016 All single episodes will only be available in ebook format. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A New Hercules For A New Age By Derrick Ferguson For a good number of years now, film versions of the plays of William Shakespeare have been set in modern times or the near future. Or, like 1995's "Richard III" set in an alternate 1930s England that has embraced fascism. I myself like and appreciate these efforts to make Shakespeare more visually interesting and accessible. Not that I don't mind togas and sandals, you understand. But for me, Shakespeare takes on an added dimension when the characters are walking around in Armani suits and driving Mercedes Benzes.Three pages into AMERICAN HERCULES: The Lion of Nemea I caught on as to what Mark Bousquet was doing and I was grinning like an idiot. Partly because of the sheer audacity of what he's doing and mostly in admiration that he pulled it off so well and had me hooked ten pages in.AMERICAN HERCULES: The Lion of Nemea is the first part of a six part serial that at times felt to me like it could be the basis for a graphic novel or the pilot episode of a high octane action TV series. Mark Bousquet has adopted a lean, stripped down style to give us the origin of the main character, war hero and one man army Nathan Hercules and how he comes to work for The Labor Division, a black ops arm of The CIA. What Mark is giving us is a modern day retelling of the Greek myth of Hercules (or Herakles is you're a stickler for that sort of thing.)and his Twelve Labors. And much like how Shakespeare takes on an added dimension when set in modern day, the legend of Hercules likewise has a entirely new flavor being set in the shadow world of espionage, black ops and CIA double-and-triple dealings.Mark commits entirely to his conceit and just throws the reader right into the middle of the action. Just trust him and go along with it and you won't be disappointed. It's a short, yet tough and muscular read. And it's a lot of fun. Highly recommended.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. An Intriguing Start By Russell L. Anderson American Hercules takes the stories of ancient myth and represents them in a modern context. This isn't ancient, mythological Hercules returning for new adventures. The conceit is that those stories are happening right now, with modern analogs to the elements of well-known stories. The most obvious comparison I can think of is BBC's Sherlock. The result is violent and raunchy - just like the source material - and a lot of fun. Nathan Hercules is a former elite soldier, imprisoned for the murder of his family. He gets a chance to get back at the people who did this to him, hunting his missing father as a special agent for the FBI and CIA.I like the idea of short, bi-weekly episodes as part of a 6-episode "season". I'm looking forward to reading these as they come out.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Allen Taylor has put together a good mix of stories By A. Cooper - Northwoods Writer Allen Taylor has put together a good mix of stories, some more weird than others, but all of them mostly tied around a water meme.I can only think of one out of the entire mix that left me going "blah, blah..." but maybe it's because the whole alien "seeded" idea has been overdone. Or maybe it's just me.Otherwise, each story was compelling in its own and instinctively I know the editor had a hard time putting this anthology together. You might not realize it, but "weird" does NOT translate to easy and many of these authors did a supreme job with the weirdness.Take, for example, the story "The Fields of Nephilim" by Alex S. Johnson. Sorry, but the last name of the author will make you chuckle when you read this tale which includes such philosophical renderings as "Meanwhile, the fall of the Nephilim continued. Among the daughters of the people of Earth were the first Hos, called the Hohim, who craved the colossal tools of the Nephilim and did suck upon..." you get my meaning. lolMy eyes were wet with tears while reading that one...very clever Mr. Johnson. Indeed. All in all, worth the read my friends. Just do it. ;-)

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. This One has Street Cred By JD Lovil Author of Worldship Praxis I have a lot of respect for the work of the Editor of this multi-Author volume of Deluge related stories. Mr. Taylor has gone to a lot of work to put it together. I know this, for a fact. Getting multiple Authors to go along with any agenda not of their own making is like herding cats. The cats have lots of fun, but the corral gate never gets shut. All of the stories and poetic prose in this book are excellent work. Do you want to know what a day in the life of God is like? Do you want to experience the slow flooding of the world with water, as you climb higher and higher to live? Do you just want to experience strange twists to the general theme of the Flood that you never thought of before? If you answered any of these questions with a 'yes', then this is the book for you.Every story in this book was entertaining to me, but there were a few of them that I considered my favorites. Among these were Dreams of the Moon by Lorina Stephens, Aqualung by Anne Carly Abad, Fields of the Nephilim by Alex S. Johnson, The Sharptooth by Terry Alexander, and Angelblood by Frank Sawielijew. You might want to read the stories. You definitely need to keep your eyes on these Writers.Aqualung is prose on the subject that tickled my meaning bone, Fields of the Nephilim is just plain funny (and a little bit randy), and the other three tales bring strange tones to the subject matter that most readers will appreciate. The stories are all loosely based on the story of the Biblical Flood, but do not let that bother you. Even if you are intensely antireligious, these stories will bother you in their own right, not because of any religious content. All in all, I would give this book a well-deserved five stars. Read it. You will not regret it.

Pinocchio at the end will be successful, because is going back to school and learn.

The Adventures of Pinocchio (The Tale of a Puppet): Bilingual Edition

It's a long book but very nice divided in chapter and is very suitable for telling before children go to sleep. The story is still very interesting even if it was written more than 100 years ago, and is a good teaching for children not to say lies.

Mike Chapman has penned a warm and glowing tribute to the nation’s longest serving governor – Iowa’s Terry Branstad. Written in a folksy, down-home style, Chapman chronicles Branstad’s life from the farm near Leland to the Terrace Hill governor’s residence. An easy read, the book looks at the forces and people who shaped the governor. It’s something of a how-he-did-it manual that will interest Iowa history buffs and younger readers thinking about a political career for themselves. Branstad’s tenure isn’t finished so we’ll have to leave it to the historians and experts of tomorrow to dissect the legacy of his policies. For now, this work shows how a small-town boy worked his way to the top. You can like his politics or not, but you’ve got to admire Branstad’s tenacity, commitment to the state and his ability to win elections: 20 wins and no losses. – David Yepsen, Director of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute and former Chief Political Writer for the Des Moines Register

First of all young girls should NEVER ride stallions..and you never ride stallions with mares, unless you are a very experienced rider. They should have been riding geldings. The writer did have the weapons correct, but that's about all I can say about the book.

From the Author I love Dickens' Christmas Carol, and I wanted to create a uniquely American version.  And by "America," I mean everything from the Bering Strait to Tierra del Fuego.Teachers tell me their Latino students especially love this book as they can really relate to the story of the Mexican immigrant Emilio Scrooge, and his adventures with Coyote, Mariposa, Venado, and La Llorona.  They also have remarked that the boys really love this book, which was a goal of mine.I love Lucinda Mayo's lively Spanish language version more than the English version!

About the Author Malcolm MacDonald is a writer, artist and Latino Wannabe from the village of La Cañada. While teaching in Mexico, he wrote the award-winning play Coyote’s Christmas Carol, which continues to be performed throughout the world. This is his first children’s book.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. honesty about depression and a crazy twist at the end! By Michael Nail for gimmethatbook This review originally appeared on my blog at www.gimmethatbook.comThanks to Publishing Push and the author for gifting me this review copy!I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book, as the blurb talks about mental health. Was this going to be the crazy ramblings of a manic depressive, or a thinly disguised dream sequence passed off as real life until the very end? It’s neither. A TINY FEELING OF FEAR is a wonderfully down to earth, no holds barred tale of a man who is suffering from depression. It’s also something more—a story with a crazy, jaw dropping twist that no one could EVER see coming, not in a million years. The plot kept me interested, and I so appreciated the author’s wry humor, especially when describing Walker’s coworkers. After spending time with his office mates, it’s no wonder he was depressed. Hostility and impotence hang over everyone’s head like a miasma, with Andrew Walker at the center. The author’s recounting of a nasty, demanding customer is spot on and cringingly accurate. Anyone who has ever worked in client services will have flashbacks, especially when an angry customer is abusing Walker and we are privy to his mental dialogue. Those are the bright spots. Interspersed with these moments are Walker at his darkest, when he is having such a bad day he can’t even get out of bed and is contemplating suicide. His anxiety and how it affects him is recounted in excruciatingly correct detail; anyone who has suffered from this all too prevalent malady will be intimately familiar with the pounding heart, crushing doubt, and sense of failure. A simple trip to the supermarket nearly turns into a disaster, as Walker almost loses his grip on reality as he travels up and down the aisles. The one bright spot in his life is his next door neighbor, newly moved in and with issues of her own. The two form an oddly awkward yet comforting relationship, and she helps Walker come to grips with a personal decision that is a long time coming. Some details about his life are revealed very slowly, and I got the sense that even though he was keen enough to make others familiar with the anxiety, I was not permitted to gain very much insight into the man that Walker was. Often the character says that he is worthless, ordinary, and uninteresting, which is normal for someone with depression. Over time, we learn exactly what happened to bring about this life change. As Walker leaves for a business trip, a few plot lines are near to becoming resolved. I felt so bad for the character and wondered what would be happening–would the author create a happy ending or would there be more misery? Depression and anxiety are not always “fixed”, and I was curious to see how things would turn out. After all, the blurb says that the character is being honest, and this may just save a life.In any case, no matter what scenario you may have built up in your mind will not prepare you for how things end. Anyone who says they saw this coming is either lying or crazy–or both. I felt exhilarated and manipulated all at the same time, and there were times where I wasn’t sure what just happened. Jonathan Lee is crazy talented and crafty as hell to have pulled this off, that is about all I can say without spoiling the surprise. He has managed to create a book that will spark dialogue about mental illness while entertaining the reader and making their mind boggle. Quite impressive.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I highly recommend A Tiny Feeling of Fear By Kathleen G. I very much enjoyed reading A Tiny Feeling of Fear by M. Jonathan Lee. The story was so wonderfully written and I found it completely relatable at so many levels. I loved how the main character, Andrew, was written in the first person and you sensed his reluctancy, yet appreciated his honesty, in telling you his story. My heart truly ached for Andrew and how he suffered alone, then I was happy for him when he finally "got it out" and told his neighborhood friend what had happened to him. Without divulging too much, I will say that once the main character was able to come to terms with his feelings and decide to move forward with positive changes in his life, I was moved from joyful to apprehension as I was certain the story was leading to an obvious conclusion which was so completely opposite to what actually happened. Thank you, Jonathan, for providing a much better ending than where my imagination was taking me! Jonathan is a wonderful writer and I highly recommend A Tiny Feeling of Fear to anyone seeking a great read. I'm looking forward to reading another of his books!

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. the difficulties he faces suffering from anxiety and depression and how he sees the world around him and how on the outside he s By Nikki Bywater Andrew Walker lets the reader into his life and talks to us about what is going on in his mind, the difficulties he faces suffering from anxiety and depression and how he sees the world around him and how on the outside he seems fine and successful in his career, but inside he is struggling and fighting a battle within himself.Andrew Walker is a fictional character but with the story been told from his first person point of view he becomes very real and the lively, fast pace of the book draws you into Andrew's world. Here the reader becomes the confidant. This makes the book interesting and different and because it is so well written it really works and the reader does not become disinterested from this point of view. A lot of people will be able to relate to the circumstances Andrew is going through too.

While exploring the ruins of the ancient Peruvian Norte Chico civilization, a group of archeologists unearth a mummified corpse buried in the side of a cliff. As the team examines the find, a debilitating sickness spreads among them. They have released Lamashtu, the bringer of disease and death, and must find a way to destroy it.

Lamashtu is a fresh perspective on the iconic mummy trope. While it has its roots in the long-familiar legend, Cooley's modern adaptation moves the action from Egypt to South America. He reinvents the ancient story by mixing Peruvian and Sumerian mythology to create a twisted tale that is classic Cooley.

What a perfect way to start the holiday By Damon Henrichs So I'm laying in bed on Halloween morning and look what pops up in my kindle! What a perfect way to start the holiday. I won't give too much away since it's a short story other than to say: mummies. This falls more in to the Garaaga style story Cooley has played around with. In other words, plenty of history/mythos mixed in with the horror. Honestly my only complaint is that he has not extended this idea into a full loength novel yet. The short stories are great (keep them coming!) but every great set up appetizers eventually needs a main course . . . and some beer . . . maybe a nice cheese plate and some creme brulee for dessert, but I digress.Anyway, great little read.

Fun story that I finished in one sitting (but like all Cooley's work, there will be blood!).I don't want to spoil the experience, so I won't give away too many plot details here. Suffice to say, all the warning signs were there, but the modern-day scientists just didn't understand. Made me think about what future explorers might stumble across in a few thousand years, not understanding our symbols for nuclear waste.I agree that I would love to see this one expanded into a novel.

Apotheosis is a story of Newfoundland - a retelling of Newfoundland's history, with a focus on the 20th Century, in the form of a Greek Epic. Set in a primeval alternate version of the Avalon Peninsula called Kyandara (the Free North), the story transplants Newfoundland and Newfoundlanders into an ancient Mediterranean-like world of diverse islands, warring city-states, fantastic creatures and dangerous voyages. A series of events befalls this island nation, both fantastical and eerily familiar as history unfolds again, with Newfoundland folklore, culture and character all prominently on display. The narrative itself features a large cast of characters but focuses on Darek the apprentice apothecary, a quiet and unassuming young man. His life takes an unexpected turn when his home receives a visit from a long lost hero of a foreign land, followed by a strange vision visited on Darek himself. He must eventually leave his island and plunge into the unknown, leaving behind a country to which he may never return, or which he may not recognize even if he does.

Gear's first novel in the Apotheosis series, blends various genres to create a truly unique story. It combines Newfoundland history with elements reminiscent of Greek epic (albeit not usually as a poem, save for some brief interludes), while creating a setting where the characters of authors such as Lewis or Tolkien would feel at home. Newfoundlanders will recognize allusion to common traditions and elements of our collective history, but these are distinct enough within the story such that they can be universally enjoyed. Throughout the story, there are allegorical references to the impact that humans have on our environment whether through industry or prolonged war, as well as the natural disasters that can result from this activity. These themes play out in a story that includes richly described characters and their interactions. The protagonist of the novel is Darek, a young apothecary with somewhat mysterious origins. He is the son of a Kyandaran mother and a Southarc father. Most of the characters hail from Kyandara, an island nation not unlike Newfoundland. However, these characters rarely have any contact with their Southern counterparts, the Southarcs, aside from encounters with sailors (such as Darek's father). This leads to much disquiet on Darek's part concerning his identity, but also sets him up as a character with a unique connection to the ocean, beyond that of the other characters. Darek has an improbable romantic bond with a delphin, which further indicates his connection with the ocean and also serves to demonstrate a concept that runs throughout the novel: that animals are no different than people and should be respected and treated as such. Of note, as Darek is an apothecary by trade there are several subtle references to pharmaceutical and chemical concepts that may be amusing to those knowledgeable in that subject matter.A host of other characters, both animal and human, are introduced in the story. In fact, much of the first half of the novel serves to introduce us to these characters. A prominent family are the Farnes, reminiscent of a typical rural family. Although the eldest male son (simply named Farne, his father being Old Farne) takes the most prominent role in this story, the other members of the family are also colourful characters. In particular, Young Mally Farne seems poised to take a more prominent role in future installments of the trilogy. Another well-defined character is Sartorian, Darek's friend and mentor. He records the stories of this society as they occur so that they will not be lost in time, something that perhaps should have been done more often throughout our own history. There is also Galeor, a true living legend for the inhabitants of Kyandara and Gimencia. His arrival acts as a catalyst for many of the events that occur later in the story. His lascivious equine companion Nacepannes often provides some comic relief. In one instance, his interactions with Pluricorns (a mythical creature that seems to be a combination of a moose and a unicorn) and in particular, a lack of knowledge concerning the identities of the pluricorns he decided to mate with results in a contrived situation that becomes a farcical scene. While providing a measure of comedy to break up the dramatic storylines, this scene could be considered as one of the weaker points in the novel. As the story progresses it breaks off into two decidedly different storylines, each subtly taking the style of two different genres. Farne and his counterparts, a group of hoplites, begin a series of battles reminiscent of those in the greek tradition. Those who are fans of battle sequences (unlike this reviewer) should be entertained by the raw, gory descriptions contained throughout these storylines. There is plenty of fighting with scimitars and sarissas, as well as a more modern approach with primitive explosives. However, as history and any greek tragedy would tell us, success in warfare leads to hubris in even the most well-intentioned of men and the novel duly explores the after-effects of this type of thinking. Newfoundlanders in particular should recognize one particularly poignant scene that ensues. Their enemies are a ghoulish race called the Garmen. These creatures and their actions are representative of the industrialized nature of our society, right down to the thick, sticky flammable liquid (easily recognizable as a certain familiar fuel) that flows in their veins. They are compelled to build machines for an evil god, despite the fact that they have no idea what the machines are for (and neither does the reader). The purpose of these machines is one of the many open-ended questions we are left with at the end of the novel. While this is taking place, Darek and Sartorian go on a quest that is much more comparable to typical fantasy fare. At the behest of an Oracle, Darek voyages to unknown lands in the North. This leads to the discovery of uncharted islands and fantastical creatures. This component of the story will appeal to those who enjoy tales of sea-faring. Along with the mystical nature of the quest, the daily challenges of a sailor's life are well-accounted for, keeping the story somewhat rooted in reality. While it is not a pirate adventure by any means, the reader will most certainly be reminded of that type of tale. The many obstacles along the journey from shark attacks, to icy storms, as well as the attitudes of a weary and disillusioned crew serve to create an intriguing story that is not only about a voyage, but is also about the ensuing struggle to survive the trip. As a side note, a vividly described scene involving a bridge will evoke a strong sense of dread and panic in those who have any sort of fear of heights. This is just one of many instances in the novel where the detailed level of description draws the reader into the story and makes it easy to imagine the fictional world that has been created.Over the course of thirty-six chapters, a story unfolds that is difficult to describe in a short review. This analysis mainly touches on some points of interest in one reader's opinion, but there are many important elements of the novel that I have not discussed. The Age of Awakening should have a broad appeal, as it borrows story-telling elements from several genres and weaves several distinctly different stories together to create a storyline that is surprisingly comprehensible and relatively easy to follow. The resolution to this portion story leaves many questions unanswered, and I, for one, am eager to learn how the rest of the story unfolds.

Gullible Travels is a book about a young woman who spent ten years running around Asia getting herself into, and out of, various scrapes; married to the wrong men, and desperate to become a mother. That woman is me. By the time I turned thirty, I'd moved from Ireland to the UK; then to Singapore, Jakarta, India, and back to Singapore. I'd married and left two men, had a seventeen-month-old baby, and another on the way – in circumstances that were far from ideal. My relationships were abusive, my self-esteem was in the gutter (and I couldn't see the stars!). I struggled to believe that I had the right to exist – let alone thrive – and frequently made poor life choices. A series of flashbacks woven into the narrative - and populated by The Little Girl, The Bad Man, The Mean Woman and The Horrible Boy - explain why. Gullible Travels is also, therefore, a book about the long-term and far-reaching consequences of child sexual abuse. This memoir reveals how being sexually abused as a child affected me long into adulthood.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A Must-Read Survivor's Story By Patricia Mei Finnerty Relatively new to Kindle, this was the second book I'd read on my phone (after 'Dracula'!). 'Gullible Travels' concerns the story of a young Irish woman, seemingly lost in Asia, desperate to settle down and start a family, sadly choosing the wrong men to do so with. An interesting, heartbreaking backstory which pops up throughout, is the tale of the author as a young girl, and, well, lets just say we're glad she's still here to tell the tale, a must for survivors everywhere.....
