You do not have to be a wrestler or enjoy wrestling to get a positive message. I highly recommend it. Matt talks about his struggles as a youth, his religious upbringing and his faith. He talks about his love for his family, his wife and the coaches and teammate at PSU. He talks about being accountable and that only you can change the direction your life is taking or will take. That you have to believe in yourself to be successful and accomplish your goals and that when you do that, the rest will come. I will admit that Matt Brown has always been my favorite wrestler, not only because of wrestling for PSU but because of how he carried himself on the matt win or lose. He is very humble and full of gratitude for so many things in his life. This man is a "Class Act" who I have no doubt will accomplish anything he puts his mind to. Thank you Matt for all you gave to the PSU fans wrestling fans, Congratulations on your NCAA Championship, which you so richly deserved and thank you for sharing your stories with us. You truly are an inspiration. God Bless the USA and God Bless you and your family. This book has inspired me to be a better person, to be so very grateful for the life I have and if it inspires other people #2 Mission Accomplished!! You are a true champion on & off the matt. I wish you nothing but the best.

An inspirational story - gives a great insight into Penn State wrestling. For any wrestling fan, this is a GREAT Christmas gift and a must read!

Weigel A unique account of a personal journey to discovering how to live a life that answers the questions of how to be a first class athlete, student, son, husband, church member and soldier. This story hopes to be a guide of how others could deal with road blocks similar to what he encountered along the way to becoming a national champion, a decorated student-athlete, a religious leader, and a father. I originally ordered the book because I am a huge Penn State (and) wrestling fan; and I was satisfied with the inside stories of the wrestling program and the steps he and his family went through to fulfill his desire to be a national champion. But I enjoyed the story of how a young man managed to accomplish all of his diverse, yet connected goals. As a retired hs librarian, I recommend this read, especially for teenagers as well as those who enjoy a warm hearted true story of accomplishment.
