Review "Little girls will easily be able to close their eyes and imagine themselves as one of the two pretty little princesses in this tale. From Royal families to brave Valkyries, this beautiful tale has action and adventure galore." D'eBook Sharing "I felt transported to a world where mythology comes to life. The little girl in me loved the woman heroine aspect and let's face it who doesn't love Norse Mythology." The Modest Verge"The perfect combination of Norse mythology and a fun fairy tale adventure. I can't imagine a better written tale to inspire a child's creativity to flourish." Paranormal Trance Reviews"Mr.Clarke takes the often repetitive world of fairy tales and adds an elegant, dramatic twist to it, producing an epic and moving adventure that children will forever cherish!" Platinum Book Reviews "A perfect bedside story for young readers, this sweet and endearing tale highlights the value of courage and clear-headed thinking. Children will easily be able to relate to the two charming princesses in this story, who are inspirational in their bravery but also full of fun and occasionally mischievous! Like any good folk or fairy tale, the beauty in this story comes from the journey that the two girls undertake, and the ways in which they grow and learn from their experiences."Fairy Tale Scholar Nadia Van Der Westhuizen, University of Kingston

From the Author The Enchanted Necklace was first developed as stories I started telling to my two daughters back in the summer of 2003. Both girls shared a love for classic fairy tales, so I decided to try my hand at inventing original princess characters for them. As residents in Riverside, Illinois, we lived in walking distance to the Brookfield Zoo where the girls regularly admired the Norwegian Fjord Horses. When I learned this ancient breed of horse was used by the Vikings, a specific medieval setting for the stories came into focus. I am extremely pleased my daughters had the opportunity to grow up with their own princess fairy tale, and now my wish is that The Enchanted Necklace will become cherished by families across the globe.

About the Author James Bradley Clarke is a graduate of Hiram College, The University of Houston, and the University of Michigan. Classical studies, including the epic poetry of Homer and Virgil, made a significant impact upon Clarke's imagination. Also inspired by the adventure novels of Robert Louis Stevenson, Alexandre Dumas, and others, Clarke began writing fiction by developing historical adventure stories steeped with Norse mythology as bedtime fairy tales for his two daughters. Mr. Clarke currently resides in northeastern Ohio, where he works as a research manager within the manufacturing sector. The Enchanted Necklace is his first children's book.

EPIC FAIRY TALE SOON TO BE A CLASSIC By Grace Augustine What a wonderful way to begin a sunny winter Saturday morning....fresh coffee, strawberry scones and a wonderful fairy tale! Not since The Princess Bride has there been a story that old and young alike can immerse themselves in and be transported to a magical kingdom. James Bradley Clarke has done just that with his new book, The Bifrost Bridge. It has all of the elements of a fairy tale...princesses, evil trolls, magic and a happy ending. The other thing I noticed in this magnificent work was the strong, loving male presence of fathers who love their daughters. I thoroughly enjoyed the infusion of Norse mythology that Clarke wove through the story line of these Dane and Norse royal families. I highly recommend this book; a very good gift to those who have a little princess. A great bedtime story! It is a feel good happily ever after that leaves you wanting to know what the next adventure of the cousin princesses will be.

This will fit quite well in your child's collection of fairy tales to read over and over again. It was also quite enjoyable to read as an adult and I know my daughter will love it for many years to come. You can't not love the 2 pricesses in the story and it so refreshing that they get along so well. Fans of Disney's Sophia the First will especially love this.

I thoroughly enjoyed this beautifully crafted and engaging fairy tale By Jeremy Murphy I thoroughly enjoyed this beautifully crafted and engaging fairy tale of the power of honor, friendship, familial love, and courage.Of particular delight was the fact that it is set with a Nordic mythology setting, and was a nice respite from the typical fairy tale environment. The author is also adept at describing so much with so little. I would definitely recommend this book.
