Andrea is in front of a 3 car crash when the gentleman that hit her car shows a lot of concern towards her... visiting, flowers, calls... Then she finds out that he is an attorney! Is her interested in her or is there a legal reason he is doing this? As a widow, Andrea works at a bookstore where her boss is romantically interested in her. Then to add to the mix, her late husband's hot brother comes to visit. He reminds her of her husband and isn't quite sure if she should be alone with him! Andrea, a quiet 52 year old widow hasn't had feelings like she does now since her husband died two years before. Where did these come from and now what is she going to do about her feelings for three men?? Life starts going beautifully for her and then there are some twist and turns so she wonders if she really deserves happiness. Well written and it was hard to put down. The first night I made myself stop after four chapters but the next night I stayed up till 2:30 so I could find out what happens to Andrea.

Lilly Setterdahl’s sweet love story holds hope for all who have loved and lost. The author pulls together a wonderful blend of Chicago and Northwestern Illinois landscapes and settings.As a parent everyone can relate to Andrea’s love interest, Charles’s teen age son returning from his hiking trip to Ireland with more than a suntan. All parents can relate to challenges of the many divergent directions that young peoples’ can lives take on their way to becoming adults.The many international settings of the characters reads like a must see travel guide. It is obvious that Setterdahl has an appreciation for the travel treasures of the world. Most of all Second Love after 50 holds hope for a romantic life after 50 and more importantly to value that which we cherish in our life today while we still can.
