About the Author Wendy Baisley Roache recently retired from a successful career as vice president of business operations in the healthcare industry. She enjoys teaching communication techniques in the work place, as well as for state and local public service groups, including volunteer and chaplaincy programs. Wendy received training through Saddleback Church's lay-counseling program and has facilitated various recovery groups. She also serves in leadership for her local Community Bible Study, an international ministry. Opportunities such as these are a delight for Wendy because they allow her to draw from her own story of starting over to speak words of hope, comfort, and encouragement to those who are suffering. Wendy is the mother of two grown children and lives in California with her husband.

The grace and mercy and loving-kindness of the Almighty poured out into such broken lives. And into the middle sections of this book, the amazement grows at seeing the hand and work of the Holy One move in even minute and intricate ways, bringing a sense of purpose and a deeper and deeper trust that can only grow from truly experiencing loss and rebuilding a shattered life. I would recommend this book to anyone who has suffered a tragic blow and been faced with huge hurdles along life's path. This story is one of triumph in the strength of Surrender!
