About the Author About the Author Ginger Balizer- Hendler began her studies at the State University of New York at New Paltz as an English Major with a minor in Theater Arts. The Adventure of Gingerella and the Peaceful Planet Project, an art installation,was featured as part of the East End Arts Council’s 2014 JumpstART program to revitalize downtown Riverhead, New York. It is based on the story of the same name inspired by the artist’s recent trip to India and a love for Indian miniatures. Ginger exhibits her mixed media paintings and sculptures throughout New York and received an Award of Merit from the Long Island Biennial. Her work is evocative of mythology and integrates many elements of Native American and Eastern folk tales. She is a former writer for Art Times. She lives on Long island with her husband, and Barney, her four-legged creature.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A BOOK TO KEEP AND ENJOY By Amazon Customer The Adventures of Gingerella reminded me that dreams are always potent. And this fable is no exception. Reading it I traveled with Gingerella through an enchanting world at peace. All the creatures live there together enjoying a peace that grows out of their compassion, kindness and empathy. I found the colorful images of Gingerella and the characters (love the image of the giraffe especially) visually evocative. These pages united with the verse narrative make the book a pleasure to read and share. The influence of a trip to India is evident and yields an underlying attitude. In her conclusion the narrator invites the reader to add their efforts toward making ours a peaceful planet.
