It excites wonderment and gentle inspiration By Ronel Pieterse Since I live in magical forests myself, I can confidently say that the author has encapsulated the enchantment of these transformative woods perfectly. Readers may need to remind themselves that this is fiction (is it really?)The writing is inspired and flows beautifully. Character development and scene narrative - for such a limited arena - are spectacular. The stories have a kind of Jungian fairytale impact. I gave the book to my teenage daughter the moment I finished it and will buy hardcover copies for each of our guest cottages on the edge of the forest to similarly help rekindle a Life of Charms for our visitors too. It moves you in unexpected ways.A nature-lovers' gem; a must-read.With thanks and gratitude to the author for going out on a limb!

Refreshingly Different By Page LaRue Forty-year-old fictional journalist, Peter, finds himself at a crossroads when his partner leaves him, and he realizes he’s tired of his job. He decides to toss his conventional life aside and move to a little place in the forest. This is set in South Africa and details about the setting are real. Peter becomes enchanted with the forest and stories of the local legend of the Green Lady. He begins to collect people’s stories about Her, which make up the stories in the book. This quick read is part armchair vacation, part local myth, and part plain old good storytelling with a deeper meaning underneath. It takes us along on Peter’s journey with the Green Lady, and ultimately, within himself. Refreshingly different and definitely good!

This book is a wonderful mixture of spirituality and conservation. The narrator is a journalist on sabbatical. He is willing a book about The Green Lady and it is a compilation of stories about people who have seen this forest Deva. The stories are very well-woven into the book. Though this is purely fiction, it does make one stop and pause to believe in God and care about conservation.
